Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh on Sunday refuted reports that he had submitted his resignation in the wake of the controversy surrounding his alleged links with stud-farm owner Hasan Ali Khan.

Mr. Singh, who returned to Raj Nivas on Saturday, told The Hindu that reports of his resignation were false. “I have explained everything to the Home Minister in my letter. The report of my resignation is false,” he said. Mr. Singh was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate at Raj Nivas for his alleged role in helping Hasan Ali obtain a passport.
