The Madras High Court on Friday ordered arbitration presided over by retired Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Paul Vasantha Kumar on a ₹140 crore dispute between a Chennai-based information technology company and the TNEB.

Passing the order on a plea moved by Navayuga Infotech Private Limited, Justice M.M. Sundresh appointed former judge of the Madras High Court Justices K. Chandru and K. Venkataraman to represent the TNEB and the petitioner. The issue pertains to the plea moved by the petitioner company assailing a letter dated March 28 issued by the TNEB allegedly threatening to terminate ₹323 crore contracts awarded to the company.
