Hate message on social media creates flutter

A hate message inflammatory in nature with a potent to trigger caste clashes in the region went viral on the social media on Friday.

Spread in the name of a caste Hindu outfit’s students wing, the message claims to give Rs. 7 lakh in prize money for the head of the leader of a Dalit outfit for his malicious words defaming and threatening women of the dominant Hindu community.

The message also promises a gold chain for completing the task.

It also warns the women of their community not to fall prey to the drama enacted by Dalits.

When contacted, members of the student’s wing said that they did not send any such message and that they were not responsible for it.

Senior police officials also feigned ignorance.
