The monthly farmers grievances day meeting will be held at the Conference Hall of Collector’s Office here on October 29 (Thursday). In a release here on Monday, Darez Ahamed has appealed to farmers to take part in the meeting and get their grievances redressed. The meeting commences at 10 a.m., the release added.

Dealers selling imported crackers will be prosecuted under criminal proceedings, said S. Palanisamy, District Collector. In a release issued here on Monday, he said that the foreign crackers caused sound pollution and damage to environment. He has appealed to the members of the public to give information about the sale of such crackers to the authorities concerned.
Mass contact
The special mass contact day programme will be held at Koothur village in Alathurblock near here on October 28. P. Madhusudhana Reddy, Sub-Collector, will preside over the programme and receive petitions from the members of the public, an official release here said.
