Government exhibition opens

Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur Raju inaugurated government exhibition near the New Bus Stand on Saturday. The exhibition throws light on various government schemes. Stalls showcasing schemes of 27 government departments have been put up at the exhibition.

On the occasion, financial assistance to the tune of about ₹1.15 crore were handed over to 106 beneficiaries. This included relief of ₹82,500 to five beneficiaries and house pattas to 10 narikuravas through the Revenue Department, ₹10,72,000 as aid to 27 students and forest land rights orders through the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department.

Commercial Taxes Minister K.C. Veeramani, Labour Minister Nilofer Kafeel, Director of Information and Public Relations P. Sankar and Collector S.A. Raman were present.
