Further drop in inflow into Mettur Dam

The inflow into Mettur Dam registered a further fall on Saturday. The inflow which stood at 12,544 cusecs on Friday dropped to 6,868 cusecs on Saturday.

The water level in the Dam stood at 70.38 feet on Saturday against its full level of 120 feet. The storage stood at 33.028 tmc against the full capacity of 93.470 tmc. While 10,000 cusecs is being released from the dam for Delta region, another 750 cusecs is being released for farm activities under the East-West canal scheme in the districts of Salem, Erode and Namakkal.
