Floral tributes paid to Anna


Workers of the Dravidian parties paid floral tributes to late Chief Minister and DMK founder C.N. Annadurai on his death anniversary on Wednesday.

On behalf of the AIADMK, Thanjavur MP K. Parasuraman led a silent procession from Sivaganga Park to the Anna Statue near the Old Bus Stand where leaders, including Mayor Savithri Gopal, chairman of TCCWS Pandarinathan, and Advocates’ Wing joint secretary Thangappan garlanded the statue of Annadurai. The DMK workers started their silent march from East Gate Kamarajar Statue led by the party Thanjavur South District secretary Durai Chandrasekaran. Those who participated in the proceedings included the former Union Minister S.S. Palanimanikkam, election work committee chairman L. Ganesan and traders’ wing secretary S.N.M. Ubayadullah spoke.

NAGAPATTINAM: The workers of the DMK and the AIADMK paid floral tributes to the statue of Annadurai in Nagapattinam.

A special community feast was organised at Sri Singaravelar temple in Sikkal. S. Palanisamy, District Collector, participated in it.
