Monthly fishermen grievance day meeting will be held at the Collectorate here from at 11 a.m. on May 29. Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan will preside over the meeting, according to press release.
Saplings planted
On the suggestion of Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan to plant five lakh tree saplings across the district, planting of saplings was inaugurated at Government Higher Secondary School in Arumanai recently. Brigadier Arumairaj, secretary, Friends of Nature Trust, inaugurated the sapling planting in the presence of Headmaster Mohanan and joint secretary of the Trust Arul Kannan.
