Tyres and plastic materials seized by Dindigul Corporation during raids were gutted in a fire accident at its godown here on Sunday evening.
Eye witnesses said a lorry loads of old tyres seized during dengue fever awareness campaign, three municipal lorries and a new vehicle meant for controlling dog menace were gutted.
Loss due to the fire was around Rs.10 lakh, said fire and rescue service officials.
fire and rescue service personnel struggled for more than two hours to extinguish the fire. A case has been registered.
