A three-day ‘college bazaar,’ an exhibition-cum-sale of products made by members of women self-help groups, was inaugurated at Sudarshan College of Arts and Science at Perumanadu near here on Wednesday.

Readymade garments, gift articles, Thanjavur art plates, toys, pickles, and household articles were among the products on display. S.Ganesh, District Collector, who inaugurated the exhibition, said the bazaar aimed at providing marketing opportunities for women members of self-help groups. He appealed to the college students to patronise SHGs. Ilango, Project Officer, Tamil Nadu Rural Livelihood Mission, said the products made by 14 self-help groups in Pudukottai and Erode districts were on display.
