The Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET), compulsory for all those who seek admissions for engineering courses through the lateral entry mode, will be conducted by the Centralised Admissions Committee (CENTAC) on June 25.
According to convener of CENTAC P. Jayakumar, the admissions would follow the new AICTE norms approved by the Pondicherry University for 2011-2012.
A total of 552 seats would be available for students through the lateral entry. This would include 126 seats in two government colleges and 426 seats in 11 self-financing engineering colleges. Mr. Jayakumar said the eligibility for lateral entry seats would be a minimum of 50 per cent marks for the Open Category students and 45 per cent for categories that benefit from reservations in a qualifying branch of diploma.
For those with a bachelors of science degree, it was also compulsory that they had opted for mathematics in their Class XII.
The last date for submitting applications, which became available from May 25, was June 15, he said.
