Employees co-op. society registers profit

The JSW Steel Limited Employees Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society registered a profit of Rs. 84.40 lakh during 2014-15.

The society declared maximum 14 per cent dividend to its members during last year. This was informed at the annual general body meeting of the society held recently.

D. Ravichandar, chief executive officer, JSW Steel Limited, was the chief guest and he commended the members for the outstanding performance of the society.

Mr. Ravichandar gave away cash awards to the members’ wards who scored high marks in the SSLC and Plus Two public examinations.

S. Srinivasan, Joint Registrar of the Cooperative Societies, P. Boopalan, president of the society, and R. Seerangan, secretary, spoke.
