Educational loans given to rescued child labourers

Cheques for Rs.2,000 each were given by way of financial assistance to six parentless children sponsored by the Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW) under its Child Labour Relief Project (CLRP) at a function held at the ICCW office in Gandhinagar here last week.

Besides, cash of Rs.3,000 each was given by way of education loans to 16 children on behalf of the ICCW Education Development Committee in Chinna Allapuram.

Balaji, proprietor of Appu Pal, a private dairy handed over the cheques and loan assistance to the beneficiaries.
