Stickers on daily-use products to urge participation

Collectors of Tiruvannamalai and Vellore districts have made arrangements to paste stickers to promote voter awareness and ensure 100 per cent voting in the general elections to be held on April 18.

Vellore Collector S.A. Raman flagged off the bus with digital display of voter awareness slogans at Thorapadi in Vellore on Wednesday.

He also visited a gas agency and Aavin sales counters in Sathuvachari to inspect the pasting of stickers on products supplied to customers. Tiruvannamalai Collector K.S. Kandasamy supervised the operations of the flying squad members on the Tiruvannamalai-Vellore Road.

He oversaw the arrangements at the polling centres Inamkariyandal and Pudhumallavadi in Tiruvannamalai and urged officials to ensure the safety and security for the voters when they come to exercise exercising their franchise. He also cautioned officials to be more vigilant while discharging election duties.
