The draft electoral roll meant for local body polls for 2011 has been displayed at the District Collectorate, collector's office, district panchayat office, and all panchayat union and town panchayat offices in the district for public view, said Collector K.S. Palanisamy, in a release here on Thursday.
Submit in writing
Those who have any objections, opinions and concerns, if any, in connection with their roll and setting up of polling booths may submit in writing to the District Election Officer-cum-District Collector or to the election officer for concerned local bodies on or before September 11, he added.
Special meeting
In the meanwhile, a special meeting will be convened at 3 p.m. on September 9 in connection with the establishment of polling booths for the forthcoming local body elections in the district.
The Collector, MP and MLAs, and representatives of political parties will take part in the meeting and discuss about it, he added.
