A total of 220 differently abled children from Tuticorin urban and rural blocks attended a medical assessment camp organised by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) here on Monday.

Inaugurating the programme at Municipality Middle School at Sivanthakulam here, Collector M. Ravikumar said teachers in special schools had been shouldering responsibilities to provide care for the differently abled children. He said similar camps were scheduled to be held at 12 more locations in various parts of the district throughout this month. Chief Educational Officer M. Ramakrishnan, Coordinator of SSA Rajaselvi and others were present.
