The AMMK general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Friday criticised the DMK government for collecting excessive fees from students of the Rajah Muthiah Medical College, Chidambaram, even after declaring the college as a government college.

In a series of tweets, he stated that those students who had not paid the fees were not being allowed to attend classes. He recalled the assurance given by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, while in the Opposition, that the fees fixed for government colleges would be made applicable to the Rajah Muthiah Medical College too.
