The team constituted to prevent breeding of mosquitoes will carry out fever surveillance too in the district.
Ten persons from the office of Deputy Director of Health Services, 20 from Block Development Office, and 10 from town panchayats would visit houses to check presence of larvae in water storage containers.
They would spray repellents in places where mosquito larvae were found.
Since the incubation period of larvae is seven days, spraying of repellents would continue all these days, said Jegadeesh Kumar, Deputy Director of Health Services.
Though no case of dengue has been reported in the district, officials said that all precautionary measures were in place to prevent an outbreak.
About 200 workers are involved in anti-dengue operation in the 60 wards in the corporation limits. Members of women self help groups and malaria supervisors too are helping them.
