D. Pandian re-elected as CPI State secretary

Veteran Communist leader, D. Pandian, was elected unanimously the Tamil Nadu State secretary of Communist Party of India for the third successive term on Sunday.

Mr. Pandian was elected in the presence of party national general secretary, A.B. Bardhan, on the final day of the three-day State conference held at Rajapalayam. Along with Mr. Pandian a 125-member State committee was elected.

Over 600 delegates from across the State participated in the meet in which the national deputy general secretary, S. Sudhakar Reddy and national secretary, D. Raja, took part. A massive rally was taken out in the town later in the evening.
