‘Cuddalore district has been polio-free for two decades’

Cuddalore has remained a polio free-district since 1995. In a statement released here, District Collector S.Suresh Kumar said that arrangements are being made for the next cycle of polio campaign in two phases: on January 18 and February 22.

According to statistics as many as 2,41,376 children in the district ought to be covered.

Special camps would be set up in government hospitals, primary health centres, schools and noon meal centres for administering the vaccine.

Each centre would have four staff. To cover the children in transit, mobile teams would be deployed.
