The CPI(M) has given a call to build a broad platform of secular forces to counter the communal agenda of the Sangh Parivar as the latter had initiated saffronisation and unleashed an agenda to communalise society.
The Ministers and MPs incited communal passion while the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Sangh Parivar established a firm grip on the National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre and the nation in general, the political resolution, adopted by the Central committee of the CPI(M) on the last day of its three-day meeting here on Wednesday, said. The politburo member B.V. Raghavulu told The Hindu that the meeting took note of many incidents of communal nature that have taken place in various States after the BJP came to power.
The Sangh Parivar activists were behind most of the incidents, he said adding that the Prime Minister was silent all along. Since the trend was going to gain further impetus, the CPI(M) has warned people to be vigilant.
