Court reserves orders on writ pleas


Petitions were filed against conversion of the new Assembly complex into hospital

The Madras High Court on Thursday reserved orders on writ petitions challenging the Tamil Nadu government’s policy decision of August last year and a G.O. the subsequent month to convert the New Legislative Assembly-cum-Secretariat building on Omandurar Government Estate here into a multi super specialty hospital.

The petitions were filed by R.Veeramani.

A Division Bench of Justices D. Murugesan and K.K. Sasidharan reserved orders after hearing arguments by senior counsel for the petitioner P. Wilson and Rakesh Trivedi for the State government.
