Judicial Magistrate Court –IV here has directed the Government Hospital Police Station in the city to register a case on a complaint preferred by a woman doctor against Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Minister M. Paranjothi.

Mr. Paranjothi, also the urban district secretary of the AIADMK, was elected from the Tiruchi West Assembly constituency in the bypoll held in October.

He was elected from the Srirangam in the 2006 Assembly elections and was chairman of the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation during the previous AIADMK regime.
