Countries where women do well flourish: Judge

October 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - Tiruvannamalai:

Those countries in which women are skillful and do well flourish, said Justice M.M. Sundresh, judge, High Court of Madras.

Distributing prizes here on Saturday to the students who won in the essay competition organised by the District Legal Services Authority on ‘Fundamental Duties’ to the school and college students, Justice Mr. Sundresh noted that good chunk of prize winners were girls.

Demanding rights without any regard for duties created problems, he observed. Underscoring the need to have healthy visions and values he drew a comparison between India and Pakistan, the two countries attained freedom at the very same time.

While India adopted secularism and socialism and performing well while the Pakistan chose to become a state based on religion and remain what it is today. It shows that an organisation do well when it adopted moral and ethical path; if an organisation adopted narrow mindedness it would not succeed, he said.
