The annual convocation of the Noorul Islam Arabic College at Suramangalam in the city was held on Sunday. Moulvi Hafiz A. Ashraf Ali Baqavi Hazrath, Principal, Sabeelur Rashad Arabic College, Bengaluru, was the chief guest and he gave away ‘Moulvi’ degrees to eight candidates, ‘Hafiz’ degree to two and ‘Qari’ degree to three more.
Speaking on the occasion, Mouvli Ashraf Ali Baqavi underlined the importance of maintaining communal peace.
Moulvi Hafiz M. Abdul Hameed Fazil Baqavi, Professor, Bakiathus Salihath Arabic College, Vellore, delivered the convocation address.
M. Abdul Malik Rashadi, Professor, Noorul Islam Arabic College, presided and A.Mohammad Ibrahim Baqavi presented the convocation report.
M. Mohammad Noor Siraji, Principal, Noorul Islam Arabic College, A. Mohammad Yahya Dawoodi, Vice Principal, A. L. Mohammad Kamaluddin Baqavi, Imam, and others offered felicitations. Buqari Shareef recital marked the annual event.
