The district level competitions for selecting students for the Bal Shree awards given by the National Bal Bhavan would be held at the District Music School, Municipal grounds here on October 10.
According to a release, the awards have been instituted with the objective of identifying talents in performing arts such as Bharatanatyam, creative works, scientific inventions, creative writing and encouraging students to excel in their fields.
The competition would be held for students in the age group of 10-16. Winners of the district level event would subsequently participate in the south zone level and finally at the national level.
The finalists would receive awards from the President.
