CM announces solatium to deceased worker’s kin

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday condoled the death of an Electricity Department worker, who was electrocuted while being engaged in restoration work in Tiruvarur district post Cyclone Gaja.

Considering it a special case, he announced a solatium of ₹10 lakh to the bereaved family.

C. Muthukumar, of Kodumudi in Erode district, was deputed for restoration work at Mettupalayam in Tiruvarur district, where he suffered electrocution on December 16.
