Check at TNCSC godown

Collector S. Jayandhi on Saturday made a surprise check at the godown of Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation at Puthupalayam near Kulithalai.

She collected rice samples and checked them for quality. She also checked whether all parameters for storing rice, wheat and other commodities have been complied with.

She enquired about the facilities available at the godown and directed the officials to take steps to ensure that commodities are maintained in good condition.

She also checked the intake and off-take registers. Later, she visited various villages, including K.Pettai and Seegampatty.

She enquired with the residents about getting quality supplies from ration shops.
