Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College had reason to celebrate as 600 students received placement in different companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant Technology Solutions, HCL, Larsen and Toubro, Wipro and Zoho.

The college organised ‘JUBILATION 15’ recently to celebrate the occasion. Placement officer N.S.N. Caillassame delivered the placement report for the year 2015.

Chief guest Hema Gopal, vice president, Global Head IBM Centre of Excellence at Tata Consultancy Services distributed the offer letters. In true tech speech, she advised students, ‘Let your project start with the Green status and not with the Red status.’ Ms. Gopal shared her professional experience and encouraged the students.

Also present at the programme were Sri Manakula Vinayagar Educational Trust Chairman M. Dhanasekaran, Vice Chairman S.V. Sugumaran, Secretary K. Narayanasamy and college Principal V.S.K. Venkatachalapathy.

Sale of applications on

With the announcement of the Tamil Nadu Class XII Higher Secondary School results, colleges have begun sale of application forms for admission.

The Annamalai University has begun issuing the prospectus and application for admission to B.E. degree programme for the academic year 2015-16. The last date for receipt of filled up application forms is June 5.

The prospectus and application form may be obtained from the University cash counter at Annamalainagar, and from all the Directorate of Distance Education Study Centres in Tamil Nadu on payment of Rs. 800 (Rs. 400 for SC/ST candidates).

The prospectus and application form may also be obtained by post by sending a requisition letter mentioning the programme to the Registrar, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar 608002, along with a demand draft of Rs. 850/- (Rs. 450 for SC/ST candidates), including Rs. 50 towards postage, drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, Annamalai University’ from any bank payable at Chennai, said a release from the University.
