The special team of officials of Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) probing the May 22 anti-Sterlite agitation has collected evidence, including cartridges fired by the police during the violence.

Sources said two cartridges, lodged in a wall of a house at Anna Nagar here, were recovered on Sunday.

Continuing their search for the third consecutive day on Monday, the CB-CID officials went to Tharuvaikulam dump yard and also examined the vehicles which were damaged during the violence.

A senior official told The Hindu that the search operations might continue on Tuesday.
