Road safety programme

Sivakasi Nadars Matriculation Higher Secondary School, in association with Haritha Honda Motors, organised a road safety awareness programme in Madurai on May 21. Over 100 school children participated in the programme. M. Ashok Kumar, General Manager, Haritha Honda, welcomed the gathering. P. Rengan, Principal, and V. Ramasundarasekaran, correspondent, offered felicitations. M. Amith Kadam of Honda Motors explained the importance of road safety and road rules. Students were exposed to safety measures to be adopted on road. B. Aysha Mariam proposed a vote of thanks.

New school for Madurai

The Madurai Public School was inaugurated at Visalakshipuram in Madurai by Ponnambala Desigar of Kundrakudi Mutt. In his address, he stressed that development of the country would be possible only through education and advised the children to learn all the world languages. Education would rid the ills of society, he said. Nachiappan, Managing Director, welcomed the gathering. S. Kaliyamoorthy, Director, Alagappa Institute of Management, offered felicitations.
