Police are on the lookout for a person who tried to abduct a 4-year-old girl here on Thursday.
A youth lured the girl who was playing in front of her house at Vannarpet on Thursday evening by promising that he would get her chocolates. As she started crying when she was being taken in a sports utility vehicle, the abductor dropped her near her house after 30 minutes. When the public, who were already searching for the girl along with her parents, tried to nab him, he managed to escape in the vehicle.
