AYUSH admission to be based on Plus 2 marks

July 17, 2018 12:39 am | Updated 12:39 am IST - CHENNAI

Admission to courses under the Indian systems of medicine, AYUSH, in the State will be on the basis of marks scored in class 12, the State government has said. Marks scored by students in NEET will not be used this year.

The decision was taken by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami following a meeting with officials on Monday.

Last year too, the government admitted students on the basis of Class 12 marks.

The State’s policy is that no entrance test would be held and the introduction of NEET would go against the Tamil Nadu Admission in Professional Educational Institutions Act 2006.
