The Cobas Connecting Module (CCM), an automated system which will simplify processes in clinical laboratories and blood banks, was added to the lab facility in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry, Christian Medical College, Vellore.
“The new Cobas Connecting Module (CCM) installed in our laboratory has the ability of connecting the standalone pre-analytical systems to analytics through a fast transportation system guaranteeing quick release of results. It enables a fast way to sample flow efficiency conceived for labs,” said Pamela Christudoss, Professor and Head, Department of Clinical Biochemistry
“From humble beginnings of handling just 80 samples per day, with only 10 parameters in the early 1960s, over the years the department of Clinical Biochemistry has made it possible to handle today over 6500 samples per day, amounting to the release of over 19000 test results in a day with 190 parameters,” she said.
Associate Medical Superintendent Joy Mammen and vice-principal Judy Ann offered their felicitations. J.V. Peter, Director, CMC, and Shravan Subramanyam, Managing Director, Roche Diagnostics India were also present.
