Arrested with deadly weapons

The Maanur police have arrested two persons and picked up two more and seized lethal weapons from them.

When a police team conducted vehicle check at Madhavakurichi intersection on Friday night, they intercepted a speeding autorickshaw and seized a sickle and a sword from the vehicle.

The police also arrested Annamalai (26) and Srinivasan (34), both from Rastha near Maanur, for allegedly possessing lethal weapons.

The police also nabbed two more persons at Azhagiyapandiapuram for allegedly carrying sickles.
