‘Arrest the university staff who attacked French student’

Demanding to arrest those staffs of University of Madras who attacked a student for raising questions during a seminar on Chennai floods, Student Federation of India (SFI) staged a demonstration here on Friday.

Pulendrarasa, the student, French national of Srilankan Tamil origin, raised some questions regarding what was done during Chennai floods, at the seminar held at the university recently.

Beaten up

He was beaten up by a few professors and staffs of the University.

Condemning this act, SFI staged a demonstration in front of Government Arts College.

Students of the college also participated in the protest. District President of SFI, Anbarasan, led the protest.
