Anxious wait in the Nilgiris

Six nurses from Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district are among the Indians stranded in Iraq. Sini, Sili, Simi, Aleena, Neethu and Maneetha are caught up in the trouble-torn country. Thomas, father of Ms. Neethu, said he had spoken to her on Tuesday evening and she told him that all of them were fine.

On Wednesday, when he called her, someone else answered the phone.
