Ambulance driver held for sexual abuse

T. Dinesh Kumar (37), an ambulance driver attached to the Kanyakumari Government Medical College Hospital (KGMCH), was arrested on the charge of sexual abuse here on Saturday.

According to police, Dinesh Kumar was caught red handed by fellow patients and attendants of patients at a ward in KGMCH when he tried to molest a girl staying with her mother as attendant to look after her brother on Friday night.

Later he was handed over to the Asaripallam police. Asaripallam police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012. He was produced before the Nagercoil Judicial Magistrate and remanded in judicial custody, police sources said.
