Ambulance booth launched

The Manipal Hospitals Salem launched Accident Rescue Centre – ambulance booth in the city on Tuesday. The new facility will provide comprehensive and complete emergency care to the needy.

The event was rolled in the presence of Subramaniam, Regional Transport Officer and V. Jayaraman, unit head of Manipal Hospitals here.

Manipal Hospitals Salem is the first corporate hospital to start the accident and emergency on highway so as to open the right channel of communication and save time which is the most crucial aspect during a medical emergency.

This will also ensure an easy accessibility during shifting of accident patients to the Hospital.

The service will include 24 Hours of medical attendants,fully equipped ambulance, drivers and technicianswho would always be available to tend to the emergency needs and shift patients with no time lag.

Live demonstration by a team of doctors on th life saving techniques formed part of the launching of the basic life support programme.

Mr. Subramaniam, RTO, underlined the importance of a such centre.
