B. Salim (56), a supporter of AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa and member of the party, committed suicide by consuming poison in North Soorangudi village near Nagercoil on Friday night.
He left two suicide notes — one for the police and the other for Ms. Jayalalithaa — stating that he was disturbed after reading the news that Special Public Prosecutor B.V. Acharya was going to file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the High Court verdict in the disproportionate assets case.
Salim said that he was happy after the Karnataka High Court judgment, but could not digest his leader stepping into the court again .
