Well-known for the manner in which it bids farewell to its commanding officers, the Madras Regimental Centre (MRC) at Wellington near here outdid its reputation in this sphere on Thursday while bidding adieu to its Commandant Brigadier S.Suresh Kumar.

He stepped down after being at the helm since October 2012.

Officers, jawans and civilians joined hands to give him a memorable send off.

In a glittering function Brigadier Suresh Kumar handed over the baton of the prestigious Centre to Brigadier S.K. Sangwan, who like his predecessor was a second generation officer.
