A leap of 7.58 pass percentage in Tiruvannamalai

The Class X SSLC pass percentage in Tiruvannamalai district went up by 7.58 per cent this year to 85.42 per cent when compared to last year’s 77.84 per cent.

This year, 35,380 students from 459 schools including 17,498 girls and 17,882 boys appeared for the SSLC exams from Tiruvannamalai district.

Of them, 30,223 students including 15,657 girls and 14,566 boys have passed the exam. The combined Tiruvannamalai district consists of Tiruvannamalai and Cheyyar educational districts.

From Tiruvannamalai educational district 22,195 students appeared and 19,287 of them passed. Percentage of pass is 86.9.

From Cheyyar educational district 13,185 students appeared and 10,936 of them have passed. Percentage of pass is 82.94.

In science 2,328 students got centum. The centum in other papers are Tamil-1, English-2, Maths-490, social science-741.

Toppers

U. Esakki Mathy of Gandhi Nagar Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tiruvannamalai and S. Saranya of Sri Bharathi Vidyashram Matriculation School, Agarapalayam near Arani took 498 marks and shared State second ranks and became district toppers.

Eight students scored 497 marks and shared the State third rank and district second rank. Students numbering 13 including three from government schools got 496 marks and shared the district third rank.
