Manithaneya Makkal Katchi, the political wing of the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK), has constituted a five-member committee to hold talks with the AIADMK for seat-sharing for the 2011 Assembly elections.

The committee will be headed by M.H. Jawahirullah, the chief co-ordinator of the party.

Alleging that law and order situation in the State had deteriorated and corruption become rampant, a resolution adopted in the high-level committee meeting of the party decided to support the AIADMK in the Assembly polls.

Increase in prices

The party will also organise protests and campaigns to highlight the hike in the price of essential commodities and the political games that had severely affected the lives of the poor.
