State government announces new postings for IPS officers

The State government on Monday posted new Deputy Commissioners of Police for Adyar, Triplicane, Kilpauk, and Washermenpet in Chennai city.

According to an official release, T. Senthilkumar will be the DC, Washermenpet, M.C. Sarangan, will be the DC for Adyar, N.M. Mayilvahanan, the DC for Triplicane and S. Lakshmi, the DC for Kilpauk.

Other postings announced by the government are: Mahender Kumar Rathod, DC (Headquarters), Madurai City, is posted as Superintendent of Police, Perambalur district in place of S. Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar, who will be new SP for the Nilgiris district.

Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar, SP, the Nilgiris district, is posted as SP, Coimbatore district, in place of N. Kannan, who will the new SP for Thoothukudi district.

N.K. Senthamaraikannan, DC, Adyar, is posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, Chennai, vice S. Baskaran, who will be the new DC (Law and Order), Salem City in place of Y. John Nicholson, who will take charge as the new SP for Salem district.

A.T. Duraikumar, SP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Southern Range, Chennai is posted as SP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Central Range, Chennai. Santhosh Kumar, SP/ADC to Governor, will be the new SP for Nagapattinam district.

M. Jayabalan, Addl. SP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai, is promoted and posted as SP, V and AC, Southern Range. P. Murali, Addl. SP, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Karur, is promoted and posted as SP, Special Branch CID, Security-I, Chennai.
