Plus Two exams begin in Tamil Nadu, held in 75 centres in Tiruchi

The higher secondary public examinations for Plus Two students began today in the district. Of the 26,599 Plus Two students who appeared for the Tamil I examination in Tiruchi district, 15,149 were girls. The total number of candidates has also increased from 25,840 last year.

Inclusive of the private centres, the public examination was conducted in 75 centres. Students were given ten minutes to go through the question paper and five minutes to fill in their details on the answer scripts. The duration for writing was three hours staring from 10.15a.m.

Accompanied by the Chief Educational Officer K. Swaminathan, the District Collector T. Soundiah visited the Town Hall Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School and the St. Philomena’s Girls Higher Secondary School.

About 120 headmasters and senior teachers were roped in as members of flying squads. Of them, there were 50 members functioning under the supervision of the CEO and the rest were headed by the District Educational Officers of Tiruchi, Lalgudi and Musiri.

The examinations will end on March 22. The examinations for the SSLC and Matric streams will commence on the very next day.
