The Madras High Court has dismissed a petition by a District Judge seeking to call for the records relating to the proceedings by the Registrar-General, High Court, against him and quash them.

One Venkatesh, a tenant in a house, had filed a suit against Ahamed Ali, the owner. In a complaint to the Registrar-General, High Court, Mr. Venkatesh alleged that the Second Additional Judge, City Civil Court, had passed the judgment in favour of Mr. Ali due to the influence of M. Mohideen Pitchai, a District Judge, functioning at Tiruchirappalli. Following this, proceedings had been initiated against Mr. Pitchai. Challenging the proceedings, he filed the present petition.
