Panneerselvam camp files formal complaint against ‘illegal confinement’ of MLAs

Former Minister and Srivaiguntam MLA S.P. Shunmuganathan on Friday lodged a complaint alleging AIADMK MLAs were in illegal detention under the instructions of V.K.Sasikala adding that he was able to “escape” from virtual confinement.

Mr. Shunmuganathan said the Chennai Police Commissioner S. George refused to meet him and he has presented his complaint to the Governor and DGP too.

Mr. Shunmuganathan came to the the Chennai Police Commissioner office on Friday to lodge a formal complaint. But he was asked to meet Additional Commissioner K. Shankar.

Mr. Shunmuganathan later alleged that said the Commissioner refused to meet him even though he was in his office. Mr. Shanmuganathan said Mr. George failed to give due recognition to an MLA.
