Although over 25,000 candidates appeared for the entrance examination for Lower Division Clerk post in the government, the Central Administrative Tribunal has issued a stay order on the announcement of the results.

According to an official in charge of conducting the examination, Group D employees have filed a case with the CAT demanding promotions. On Friday, the CAT issued a stay order that states that results of the LDC exam should not be published until the case of these employees and their promotions is heard. It has scheduled the hearing for Monday.

On Sunday morning, as many as 27,275 candidates appeared for the entrance exam for 567 Lower Division Clerk, store-keeper, junior clerk and typist posts.

The exam was held across 94 centres with 73 in Puducherry, 13 in Karaikal and four each in Mahe and Yanam. The answer key for the examination would be published on pon.nic.in.
