Lizard found in mid-day meal

As many as 15 students of the Government High School in Kondangi were rushed to the Thogaipadi Primary Health Centre after a lizard was found in the mid-day meal served to the students on Thursday. According to officials, a Class IX student P. Shanmugi started vomiting after she found a lizard’s tail in her food.

Several other students also complained of vomiting and nausea. Though the students did not show any symptoms of illness, they were kept under observation in the Thogaipadi PHC and later sent home.
