Knitwear exporters sign pact with mills

The knitwear exporters in the Tirupur cluster can heave a sigh of relief as Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) signed an agreement with spinning mills here on Sunday to ensure supply of yarn at reduced prices to the apparel-making units.

Accordingly, the price of 40s-count yarn had come down by Rs 8 to stand at Rs 194 per kg.

Similarly, the prices of 20s, 24s, 30s and 34s count yarn came down by Rs 5 to stand at Rs 157, Rs 165, Rs 177 and Rs 184 for a kg, respectively.
